Angela M. Seiders is a principal in the Newport News Public Schools (Virginia). A former realtor, Angie began her education career as a middle school science teacher. As a teacher leader she worked as a science specialist and an instructional specialist in a K-8 setting. As a building level administrator Angie has been an assistant principal, an Instructional Program Administrator, and a principal. Twice recognized by her school system’s Parent-Teacher Association as the Middle Principal of the Year, she seeks to connect the community and school. Additionally, she contributes to the profession through mentoring new principals and supporting the professional growth of others in her school and district. Angie has presented her work at state and national conferences such as the Southern Regional Education Board. She believes that all children can achieve academically through perseverance and their natural talents as their instruction is facilitated in nurturing classrooms and at home. Her master’s degree in educational leadership is from George Washington University.
