Dr. Beth Whitaker is an Assistant Professor of Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. Beth was principal at Thorpe J. Gordon Elementary School in Jefferson City, Missouri, prior to moving to Indiana. Her school received the Missouri Gold Star Award and the National Blue Ribbon Award for School Excellence. Dr. Whitaker has been published in the areas of school climate, principal leadership, and staff motivation and morale. She also works with many principals, teachers, and schools in the areas of curriculum development, classroom management, writing, and reading.
