Carole C. Goodman has worked for Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland for 37 years. She was an art teacher, an assistant principal, a middle school principal and was the principal for 13 years of James Hubert Blake High School; a school she was selected to open as a brand new school.

When she moved into administration, she never lost her love of teaching and transferred that passion into hiring outstanding people and then training and developing them to allow them to reach their maximum potential. She is extremely proud to have trained 12 assistant principals in her tenure as a principal and currently among their ranks are six principals and one associate superintendent.

She has published several articles in professional journals, on a variety of topics and has won six major awards. Effective July 1, 2010, Carole is the Associate Superintendent for Human Resources and Development for MCPS, where she hopes to expand her passion for hiring and training to an even larger arena.
