
Charles Achilles has a B.A. in Classics, M.A. in Latin & Education, and Ed.S. and Ed.D. from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. He teaches courses in Education Administration and conducts research in schools on topics such as class size, student-teacher communication, effective schools, and institutionalization’s effects on truant and indigent/neglected youth. He is the author, co-author, editor, or contributor to numerous books, journals, and principal investigator on major studies, such as Tennessee’s STAR Experiment, Success Starts Small, and Leadership for Improving School Organization.
