David Denton has been a middle school teacher for eight years. During this time, he has taught 6th through 9th grade students mathematics, science, and social studies. In 2005, he earned National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Mathematics. He completed his doctorate at Seattle Pacific University in 2010. He is a member of National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, National Council for the Social Studies, and American Educational Research Association. His particular areas of interest include educational philosophy, instructional practices, and mixed methods research design.

David lives with his wife and three children in Suquamish, Washington.
