George E. Pawlas, PhD, has spent 37 years in education. During his career, he has been an elementary school teacher, an elementary school principal, a district-level administrator, a state department consultant, and a coordinator of educational programs at an area campus. He is currently a professor in the Educational Leadership program at the University of Central Florida. In addition to working with students in the master’s and doctoral degree programs, he has developed three courses at the master’s level, including one on community school administration. Pawlas has authored more than 30 articles on education topics, co-authored three editions of a book on educational supervision, co-authored a book on adjunct teaching, and authored the second edition of this book. He has also conducted seminars and workshops and made presentations on relevant topics in education.
