Janice Nicklaus is a staff development specialist in the Lawrence, Kansas, public schools.  She received her Bachelor of Arts and Masters degrees from The Ohio State University and the Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Kansas.  She has served as a public school teacher, coordinator for Title I math, and adjunct professor.  Her work with school administrators includes conducting study groups, providing professional development on developmental supervision and related pedagogical issues, and assisting building administrators with problem solving processes.  She has written and edited monographs related to professional development and made presentations to professional audiences nationally.
