
Joe Hendershott, who resides in Ashland, Ohio, is a graduate of Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and holds a master’s degree in school administration from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio. His career spans more than 20 years as a teacher and school administrator.
Joe has an extensive background dealing with difficult and troubled youth in the school system. He has been a high school assistant principal, head principal, alternative school principal, and principal at Boys’ Village School. Currently, Joe is the director of field experiences for the Schar College of Education at Ashland University where he also conducts professional development workshops designed to educate and empower those working with wounded children.
Joe and his wife, Dardi, are also cofounders of Hope 4 the Wounded, a consulting firm that targets working with wounded children and how to get them to academically achieve through various programs that include esteem building and emotional development. Joe has presented at national educational conferences, as well as staff trainings. Joe speaks with passion about understanding the wounded students in our schools, and his diverse background gives him a unique perspective on this topic.
