Kathleen (Kitty) Foord serves as Department Chair, Coordinator of Professional Development, and Associate Professor at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She was a public school teacher and curriculum and assessment coordinator for 28 years before moving to higher education. In addition to teaching graduate courses in assessment, differentiation, learning communities, and teacher leadership, she leads professional development in school districts and coordinates the Masters of Science in Teaching and Learning program. Kitty holds a bachelors degree in Political Science and Social Studies Education from the University of Minnesota, a Masters of Arts in Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Hamline University.
