R. Stewart Mayers has taught middle and high school mathematics, history, and German. Stewart also served as a high school department chair. He is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Instruction and Leadership and Master of Education Program Coordinator at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma where he teaches supervision of teaching and public school law. His co-authored books include Supervision and Staff Development in the Block (with Sally J. Zepeda) and The Call to Teacher Leadership (with Sally J. Zepeda and Brad N. Benson).
