ABOUT ROBERT EVERHART

Robert B. Everhart, Ph.D. received his doctorate at the University of Oregon and is currently a Professor at Portland State University. Prior to his current position he was Dean of the Graduate School of Education at Portland State for twelve years. He began his career in education as a middle school teacher and has also worked in school districts in the area of program evaluation. His current interests are in the areas of educational policy, school change, and education for early adolescents. His most recent publications include Flirting on the Margins: An Educational Novel (Hampton Press, 1998) and a book chapter, Toward a Critical Social Narrative of Education (forthcoming in George Noblit (ed.), Playgrounds of Postcritical Ethnography, Hampton Press).
